Pain/Analgesia Research and Services SRI International performs the discovery and development services needed to get your lead candidate into the clinic. SRI's integrated program offers neuropharmacology, molecular biology, pathology, immunology, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, engineering, and information technology expertise to solve problems, create value, and expedite the preclinical process. Our current research focuses on the importance of opiate receptor-like 1. We provide a number of services for NIDA in the areas of receptor binding and drug abuse potential. Our neuropharmacology group assists clients by evaluating their compounds for pain/analgesia and other neurological disorders using isolated receptors and functional assays. We evaluate the in vivo effectiveness of agents using well-established animal models. SRI is the preferred contractor for organic synthesis and maintains the NIMH repository. Our comprehensive drug development capabilities, including IND preparation for filing, will get you to the clinic in the minimal amount of time.
